Gawd, I’m missing the Absolute Write Forums like crazy. I know they’ve set up a Refugee Camp and all but it’s not the same! However, I am loyal and patient and understanding… (When it comes to great causes like the AWFs.)

Am still around. If I’m not working on my manuscript, then I’m working on an assignment. Also hope to have a short story completed by July 1st for a competition.
Even the clicking of my camera has stopped for the time being…
Just now, I found myself in a conversation with a woman at a coffee shop and we were talking about jobs in offices and in hospitality and whether one is cut out for those kinds of jobs and whatever else. I told her that an office job wasn’t so bad, that it was rather handy because — here it comes — “I’m a bit of a writer anyway”.
Hmmh.
As sure as it says WRITER in my journal header, and the last time I checked my heart it said that I am one, but when it comes to mentioning it among others (particularly strangers) I’m apparently “a bit of” one. Or, “I consider myself to be one,” — another response I’ve heard myself say.
I know that I’ll feel like a whole writer when I’ve had something published. I think my hesitancy is natural.
